Cape Horn

Cape Horn marks the northern limit of the Drake Passage, which separates America from Antarctica. It was discovered in 1616, by the Dutch seafarers Le Maire and Schouten, who baptized the cape “Hoorn“, in honor of the port of departure, and of one of the two ships of the expedition. Rounding the Horn is still considered one of the greatest nautical challenges, especially for sailing enthusiasts.
