Rio de la Plata
USD1.00 – USD18.00
Río de la Plata is renowned for being the widest river in the world. The first European to sail through it, Juan Díaz de Solís, described it as a freshwater sea. The river divides Buenos Aires from its neighbour Uruguay and was the centre of important successes in world history – during the Second World War, the German destroyer Graf Spee was scuttled in its waters. Used as a commercial waterway, it’s also home for lovers of yachting.
